Budi P. Iskandar is an Industrial Engineer as well as a Regional and Urban Planner. He was a lecturer at the Regional and Urban Planning School (now School of Architecture, Policy Planning and Development) until 2003. In 2004 he joined and ran the School of Business and Management as the Vice-dean for Resources, then for External relations and for the Jakarta MBA. After that he served as the President of STEKPI (a College for Economics, Finance and Banking). In 2012 he returned to SBM and develop some courses, among others Retail Management.

Since 2013 he was appointed as the Chairman of the SBM Center of Learning and Teaching and actively urges for educational improvements. He also teaches Management Practice and Leadership, International Business and Trade, Corporate Management and Marketing Management. He also studies the influences of social media and always embraces the recent development in learning. Now he is busy writing a case of Digital Public Relations and another case about corruption. He also is also researching the outcomes of the course Management Practice and Leadership.
