SBM-ITB has a unit that responsible for assuring the quality of learning and teaching, which headed by a Director of QA and Accreditation, Achmad Ghazali PhD. This unit conducted several survey to the students to capture their study experience, which are: (i) student satisfaction during the course (QA Survey), which conducted twice for each semester, (ii) students exit survey, the survey that distributed before the graduation, that covered about facilities and their experience during writing the theses,and (iii) special survey for capturing special event that related with the quality of teaching and learning, which conducted tentatively. The report of student satisfaction survey is reported to the lecturers, the Deans, Head of the Study Program, and Head of Sub Expertise group, then each party will evaluate the survey results and make improvements for increasing the quality of teaching and learning.
The results from the survey were reported also to Committee of Learning and Teaching (CLT) that held the meeting every six week. In CLT meeting, this unit will discuss and support the policy that related with quality improvement. The other form of capturing feedback and some inputs from the students is through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which were held regularly for each semester for the students of every study program within SBM ITB. The results from FGD then reported to the Head of Study Program, to take immediate action for the improvements.
Moreover, this unit also responsible in achieving and supporting the accreditation for SBM ITB, in national and international level. In national level, the accreditation process for each program study should follow the requirement by BAN PT-is an independent accreditation agency for higher education, directly responsible to the Minister of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia. In International level, the accreditation process that have been pursued by this unit is ABEST21 for MBA program study, and will be aim for other international accreditation, such as: AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.
