“A leader shall also be able to encourage his people to have initiatives and this will only happen if the people are given trust and are not under pressures, “JK adds.

Moreover, JK highlights the similarities and differences of being a leader in business, government and social organization. In business, according to JK, the main focus is to make profit for the company. Meanwhile in government, said former Vice President RI, procedures are always the first priority. “In a social organization like in Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI), money and procedures are of less priority than safety and health of people, ” as the PMI Chairman explains.

At the end of his public lecturing, JK points out an important message for the country: We have to believe that “We can do it and leave the presumption that we can not do it while we actually can do it. And to share his experience as a leader, there are three things that he always wants to be treated the same as his subordinates: eating, praying and (sport) exercising, “said JK.

JK’s public lecturing is attended by guests from alumni, students, lecturers, and School Advisory Council. Following the lecturing is the awarding ceremony for MBA ITB Jakarta’s students and lecturers. There are four categories of achievement: Best Achievers, Most Outstanding Best Achievers, Most Outstanding Best Faculties, and The Most Inspiring Team. Here are the Achievers:
