Ekonomi Hijau written by Prof. Surna Tjahja Djajadiningrat (Naya), Dr. Yeni Hendriani, and Melia Famiola MT was set to launch and be reviewed last night (13/7/2011) at Hotel Borobudur, Jl. Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta. Published by Rekayasa Sains, the book edited by Anggara Wisesa MSc was aimed to raise the issue of green economy as the new paradigm in economics.

Began with a thank you note delivered by the author Prof. Naya, the event was followed by an opening speech from the Minister of Environment Indonesia, Prof. Gusti M. Hatta, in which was delivered by his Deputy Minister, M.R . Karliansyah, MS. As the launching ceremony, the book completely signed by the authors was proudly presented to the Ministry of Environment Indonesia.
One by one, the speakers took the stage. Following the opening remark from the Head of Bappenas, Prof. Armida S. Alisjahbana read by her Deputy Endah Murniningtyas, PhD, was the presentation from PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. Delivered by their President Director, Alwin Syah Loebis MM, Antam told us more about their great efforts to a green mining. Later, Kompas Journalist, Agnes Aristiarini, shared her valuable review of the book.

As the event continued, the panelists were looking forward to review. Moderated by SBM?s lecturer, Dr Agung Wicaksono, he began to invite Dr Arif Budimanta (Komisi XI DPR-RI), Dr Arif Satria (IPB), Budi Retno ME (Activist ICSD), Dr Waluyo (Pertamina), and Laksmi Dewanti (Dewan Proper) to join him on the stage. Panelists were asked to share their reviews from their professional perspectives such as politics, scholars, communities, industries, and government.
