AMD, a processor maker company appointed Hermawan Sutanto to be a Country Head of AMD Indonesia. It is known that Hermawan is the alumni of MBA ITB of Business Leadership class at Jakarta Campus. Reported by kompas.com, Hermawan has effectively been in charge since 1 May 2012.

He is not only in charge of processor business, but also responsible for online media storage (cloud computing) and AMD virtualization business in Indonesia.
According to Nick Lazaridis, the Corporate Vice President of AMD, Hermawan is expected to be able to build a strong foundation of the assets, the resources and also the things in it in order to encourage innovation and growth in the company. “I believe his skills and knowledge about local market can be so helpful in strengthen this business in Indonesia,” Lazaridis stated in a press release.
Hermawan’s experiences in cooperating with company partners or IT provider, both locally and internationally, has become a strong asset for him in performing his new role. Hermawan get his own vision to continue the growth and to develop the partnership ecosystem of AMD in Indonesia. “The double digit of business and market share?s growth in Indonesia indicate a strong accretion in the future,” told Hermawan who obtained his MBA degree from School of Business and Management ITB.
Prior to join AMD, hermawan got his international experience for 7,5 of years in working for Microsoft with his last position as Director of Central Marketing Microsoft Indonesia. Previously, Hermawan was in charged of managing the Windows Commercial Business for emerging market all around the world. At that time he worked at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington, United States.
During his years of working for Microsoft, he executed a series of roles that covering all Microsoft business segments, starting from the Server, Office products, to the Windows Operating System for consumer, commercial, partners, and developers.

Selain bisnis prosesor, Hermawan juga bertanggung jawab atas bisnis media penyimpanan online (cloud computing) dan virtualisasi AMD di Indonesia.
Menurut Nick Lazaridis, Corporate Vice President AMD, Hermawan diharap mampu membangun pondasi yang kuat mulai dari aset sampai sumber daya untuk mendorong inovasi dan pertumbuhan AMD. “Saya yakin pengetahuan dan keahliam Hermawan mengenai pasar lokal bisa membantu memperkuat bisnis AMD di Indonesia,” ujar Lazaridis dalam siaran pers.
Pengalaman Hermawan bekerjasama dengan mitra atau penyedia TI, baik di tingkat lokal maupun internasional, menjadi modal kuat bagi Hermawan dalam menjalankan peran barunya di AMD. Hermawan sendiri punya visi melanjutkan pertumbuhan AMD di Indonesia dan mengembangkan ekosistem kemitraan. “Pertumbuhan bisnis dan pangsa pasar di Indonesia sebesar dua digit, menunjukkan proyeksi pertumbuhan yang kuat dimasa mendatang,” ucap Hermawan yang punya gelar MBA dari Sekolah Bisnis dan Manajemen ITB.
Sebelum bergabung dengan AMD, Hermawan punya pengalaman kerja internasional selama 7,5 tahun di Microsoft. Jabatan terakhirnya adalah Director of Central Marketing Microsoft Indonesia.
Selama bekerja di Microsoft, Hermawan menjalankan serangkaian peran yang mencakup seluruh segmen bisnis Microsoft, mulai dari Server, produk Office, hingga sisitem operasi Windows untuk segmen konsumen, komersil, mitra, dan pengembang.
