Batavia team from SBM ITB wins second place at National Final L’Oreal Brandstorm 2013 held at Teater Utama Usmar Ismail Hall Jakarta on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Members of the team, Dyasanti Vidya Saputri, Najwa Assilmi, Alifa Mentari Putrinda are on their 5th semester at SBM ITB. Vincitore Team from Universitas Indonesia won first place and will be competing at the final in Paris.

L’Oreal Brandstorm invites business school students to create new L’Oreal products including the whole design aspects from packaging to communication strategy. The judging criteria are creativity, market analysis, brand values, communication skills, and team dynamics.This year, the task is to create a business plan with a theme of Breakthrough Innovation, which includes designing product packaging, market strategy, and advertising campaign aspects for the product.

The event was entertaining and has different concept to the previous years with the participation of team supporters who is also competing in the cheering contest. Supporters from SBM ITB sweep the entire award for L’Oreal Brandstorm 2013 supporter category, Best Supporter and People’s Choice Award.

At the final round in Paris, the winner will compete against the best teams from 40 countries to receive the title of L’Oreal Brandstorm International Champion and wins a travel voucher worth 10,000 Euro. While first and second runner up will receive travel voucher worth 5,000 Euro and 2,500 Euro.
