Based on scientific knowledge and long years of research and practical experience this presentation is a practical guide for effective communication to the consumer. It includes many examples of advertising, most of them from Europe, and it covers different media (print, TV, internet). It introduces five social techniques to the students that help to understand how effective communication is done.

Different from MBA session, in front of MSM students Terlutter held with topic “Exchange program (Sandwich program) promotion and how to write international collaboration proposal”. This session was attended by 35 MSM students and also the faculties.

Biography

Ralf Terlutter (Ph.D. from Saarland University, Germany) is Professor of Marketing and International Management and Head of the Department of Marketing and International Management at the Alpen-Adria Universitaet Klagenfurt, Austria. He is Vice-Dean of the School of Business and Management and Study Director of the English master program International Management at the Alpen-Adria Universitaet Klagenfurt. From 2000 to 2001, he worked in the international management consultancy Droege &Comp. AG, Duesseldorf, Germany. Ralf Terlutter was president of the European Advertising Academy (EAA) from 2010 to 2012. He is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Advertising and the International Journal of Advertising. He was guest professor at several universities, among them San Diego State University (USA, 3x), Villanova University (USA, 4x), the University of the Basque Country, Bilbao (Spain), the University of Split (Croatia), and the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing (China, 2x). His research interests include health communication, advertising in new media, and international advertising. He is also consultant to industry.
