APEC Voices of the Future, which is the main platform for “Youth Voice” at the annual APEC Summit, was held in conjunction with the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week and the APEC CEO Summit from 5 to 11 November 2014 in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. Indonesia representatives consists of 3 students and one educators from SBM ITB. They were Dara Indira (SBM 2015), Wisnu Aryo Setio (SBM 2015), Mishella Saraswati (MBA YP48) and Andra Riandita (SBM faculty member). To be elected as representatives, each candidate required to submit resume and essay regarding Indonesia role and its opportunity on Asia Pacific Trade and Economy.

The event was consists of forum presentation and sharing session between each representative of APEC economies which emphasized on the challenges of education and employment faced by youth in the Asia-Pacific region. Besides, theIndonesia representatives also had a dialogue session with APEC Business Advisory Council Indonesia members like Mr. Wishnu Wardhana (President Director and Group CEO, PT Indika Energy Tbk) and Mr. Anindya Bakrie (PT Bakrie Global Ventura).
In the APEC CEO Summit, the Indonesia representatives had an opportunity to attend the key note sessions which was delivered by Mr. Xi Jinping (President of the People’s Republic of China), Mr. Joko Widodo (President of Indonesia), Mr. Vladimir Putin (President of Russia Federation) and Mr. Barack Obama (President of the United States). Through the APEC CEO Summit, all of the participants (youth delegates, educators and businessman) gain some insight about the challenges that might appear in the Asia-Pacific trade and economic in the next years ahead.
