Introduction day for new incoming exchange studentsSBM ITB welcomes exchange students for a semester of an academic year each year. At the beginning of this year, there are four students who joinstudent exchange program. They are David Ebel (Pforzheim University – Germany), Marine Jeanelle (ESC Rennes – French), Elvin Jegou (ESC Rennes – French), and NorsyafiqahAmira (Brunei Darussalam University – Brunei Darussalam).
They join exchange student program for one semester. Upon arrival in Indonesia, SBM ITB held regular events to welcome new incoming exchange students, we called it as “Introduction Day”. This event was held on January 15 at SBM building and consisted many activities. Before the event began, Mrs. Ira Fachira as deputy director of the bachelor program gave a speech to welcome them in SBM. Next schedule, SBM students accompany them to tour around SBM and ITB, also shared about campus life. They were enthusiastic to know about SBM ITB. Not only that, they also got a chance to try Indonesian food. They really enjoyed it and keen to try other foods. Mr. bambangRudito participated in the event by providing material about Indonesian culture. This program enabled exchange students to explore in-depthIndonesian culture. In the afternoon, they visited to Saung Angklung Udjo. SaungAngklungUdjo offers bamboo musical show to the interactive angklung workshop. They were very pleased to have the opportunity to play angklung. At the end of the show, they danced along with the children. The show has an intense Sundanese atmosphere.
