KEIO-Innovative-Thinking-WorkshopOn Thursday, 15th January 2015, KEIO University held a workshop in Amphitheater Room, MBA ITB Bandung campus from 13.00 – 17.00. The theme of the workshop is “KEIO Innovative Thinking Workshop – What does INSIGHT taste like” -Finding Insight for Innovation”.The workshop is the first workshop held by Keio University in collaboration with SBM ITB. The speakers who contributed to this workshop are :

  • IOKI, Makoto – Associate professor, SDM Keio University
  • TOMITA, Yoshikazu – Lecturer, SDM Keio University
  • WATANABE,Kyoko – Project Researcher, SDM Keio University

The design thinking is increasingly used by problem solvers in fields as diverse as healthcare, sustainability, education, urban planning, new product and service development, and economic development.

In the workshop, KEIO University introduced participants to the origins, processes, and tools of design thinking through readings, discussions, and team exercises. Using these processes, frameworks, and collaborative tools, participants tackle several design challenges during the workshop.

The workshop is quite interesting. Itwas attended by more than 50 students, lecturers and deans from some faculties such as School of Business and Management, Faculty of Art and Design, Faculty of Industrial Technology, and Schools of Architecture.

This program will be held again at the end of February or beginning of March with a limited number of participants that is 20 participants. In the next workshop, KEIO University will select the best one of SBM students to be sent to Japan for 6 months of the program. For further information regarding schedule of workshop will be informed immediately.
