AAPBS ConferenceSchool of Business and Management Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB) in collaboration with Prasetiya Mulya Business School (PMBS) hold the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS) Academic Conference with the issues “Re- Encoding Inclusive and Sustainable World Development into Strategic Corporate Agenda of Asia Pacific” at Grand Nikko Hotel, May 14-15, 2015 in Bali, Indonesia. “I would like to express my gratitude to welcome you all the participant members of AAPBS meeting and academic conference. We have two days to discuss and networking among the members. This is the new concept of AAPBS meeting, there is not only meeting but we also have Academic Conference with issues Inclusivity and Sustainability,” said Prof. Sudarso Kaderi Wiryono as the Dean of SBM ITB while delivered his welcoming speech.

“We have 77 participants in this 2nd conference coming from 14 countries such as China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Philippine, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, French and USA. Today’s conference would engage you to an open dialog about inclusivity and sustainability of Asia Pacific for now and tomorrow. Business schools are expected to contribute in the best inclusive business by providing awareness, knowledge and technology,” said Prof. Djoko Wintoro as the Dean of PMBS.

Prof. George L. Benwell as the President of AAPBS welcomed the participants with updated information about AAPBS past activities and future challenges that was to provide greater value to members and create a culture of change with:

Improved administration efficiency;

Transparency in how AAPBS operates;

Continually improving governance;

Continuing enhancements to all forms of member communications; and

Timely and topical conference agendas and speakers. AAPBS is ready to embrace the challenges the new decade brings and adapt to the changes increased membership and global recognition bring.

Invited as speakers for this conference were Former State Minister for National Development Planning, Republic of Indonesia Armida Alisjahbana, Director Hillhouse Capital Group Jing Hong Managing, Former Chairman Schlumberger Group Indonesia and Founder and Chairman for Biru Peduli Foundation Ahmad Yuniarto, Managing Director Adaro Edwin Soeryadjaya, and President Commissioner of Chevron Abdul Hamid Batubara. From Academicians insight, there were Satoru Kimura of Meiji University, Ruey Shan Guo of National Taiwan University, Ricardo Lim of Asian Institute of Management and Heru Prasetyo of SBM ITB.
