Growing as a reputable business school in Indonesia, SBM ITB is reviewing its mission statement for further development of the school in facing today challenges as well as global competition. SBM ITB reestablishes a new mission that aligns with Tri Dharma of higher education and strengthen its position as the one promoting innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, ethics, and sustainability.Growing as a reputable business school in Indonesia, SBM ITB is reviewing its mission statement for further development of the school in facing today challenges as well as global competition. Through an in-depth discussion between faculties, input from Industries, and suggestions from the School’s Governing Council, the school senate formulates a new mission that will engage all stakeholders along with SBM faculties and staffs in realizing SBM ITB as top rank business school in the region. At the senate meeting on June 9, 2015, new mission of SBM ITB was introduced, “To educate learning participants to be innovative leaders with entrepreneurial mindset and develop knowledge of business and management for the betterment of business, government, and society”. This mission becomes the new beginning of SBM ITB in educating future leaders, nurturing knowledge, and becoming agent of change that create impact and sustainability.
The school senate believes this mission has distinctive purposes, the first is to develop education system aimed at nurturing innovative leaders who have attitude to find alternative ways and influence others to take actions that bring results. Second, nurture entrepreneurial mindset, which is an integrated attitude constructed by capabilities in recognizing opportunities, willingness to take risks, taking decisions & responsibilities, and involving others to co-create values. The third purpose is by creating, capturing, researching, studying, disseminating, sharing, and applying business and management content for theoretical, practical, pedagogical, and developmental context. And lastly, as the act of SBM ITB that impacted the improvement of business, government, and society in increasing their value and sustainability.
