SAM_7590Embassy of Republic Indonesia in Brunei Darussalam held an event “Indonesia Showcase 2015” at Times Square Shopping Mall, Bandar Seri Begawan from 30 October 2015 until 01 November 2015. This is the annual event of the Embassy, but this year Embassy brings the new concept to promote Indonesia to Bruneian, which is study in Indonesia. Many Bruneians and Indonesians who lived in Brunei visited the universities booth to get information about study in Indonesia. And many of them are enthusiast to go study abroad for either bachelor, master or doctoral degree. This spirit is possible since The Minister of Education of Brunei Darrusalam provides numbers of scholarships for Bruneian to continue their study abroad. And Indonesia is in their top priority list country. ” I visited Bandung once and I like the atmosphere, the weather, the people and also the shopping areas in Bandung. I think if I want to continue my master degree, I prefer to go to Bandung” said one of Bruneian participant while visited ITB booth.

In the meanwhile, the other events such as art exhibition, cooking competition, batik workshop and also culinary exhibition were held to bring curiosity of Indonesian’s culture and culinary. Many Indonesians who live and work in Brunei joined the events and involved in the competition, bring back their memories of the beloved country Indonesia.
