Moment is initiated from the emergence of Go-Jek and Tokopedia that have been accepted in the society. The emerging online facility helps to solve the social problems that exist in society. Moment is initiated from the emergence of Go-Jek and Tokopedia that have been accepted in the society. The emerging online facility helps to solve the social problems that exist in society. Many questions arouse among the public about what the technology can help people to solve social problems.

Entrepreneurship program in SBM ITB in collaboration with Kibar create a course called “Technology Based Business” to answer the questions. This course is expected to encourage students to collaborate in creating a technology based startup.

Coupled with the fact that the ITB has majors support to create an ideal startup team, namely from Design, Programming, and Business. And this opportunity is also open for students of other majors to follow this course. This course is very unique. In this course, students are also expected to solve a problem directly. So students can experience build a startup without sacrificing academic performance.

In daily classes, the course is lead by SBM ITB lecturers, but there are also experienced mentors from KIBAR. KIBAR is also invited some great figures of the startup world that was once speak as a guest lecture. Such as Nadiem Makarim of Go-Jek, Yansen Kamto of KIBAR, Marshall Utoyo of Fabelio, Yohan totting of Google Developers Expert, Gibran Chuzaefah of eFishery, and many other startup founders.

On December 12, 2015, the students of the courses Technology Based Business Batch # 2 held a demo day event exhibit their startups. The event is a major task of the course, where students asked to perform pitching in front of the jury and lecturer for the title of “The Judge’s Choice” and “The Most Favourite Startup”.

The jury are those who experienced in the startup world, namely Wiku Baskoro of DailySocial, Gibran Chuzaefah of eFishery, Yohan totting of Google Developers Expert, as well as the June Long Xing of Jotter Production. After pitching, the event continued with a seminar session lead by Enda Nasution as CEO of Countrymen and Alamanda Shantika as Vice President of Product of Go-Jek.

After the series finished, the announcement of “The Judge’s Choice” is held. The winner is Taban Adventure team. Taban is a game for elementary school students from grades 4-6 aimed to increase interest in learning English.

While “The Most Favourite Startup” won by Pas Angkot. An application that provides public transportation route accompanied by a standard price of public transportation based on mileage.
