On Sunday, 10th January 2016, SBM ITB Jakarta Campus held Introduction Program for MBA Batch 54 at Aryaduta Hotel Lipokarawaci, Tangerang. Hundreds of new students were joining the MBA programs including 5 expatriates students from China and India. For this January intake, Jakarta Campus receives in total 109 students for its 4 programs BLEMBA, GLEMBA, ENTREE and GM. “I want to be a successful businessman, so that’s why I joined the MBA program. I hope this program will help me to achieve that,” said Hilmi, one of ENTREE students when he was asked about his motivation in joining the MBA program.
A founder of SBM ITB, Prof. Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, who also came to the event, gave motivational speech and a brief sharing about the establishment of the business school. He said that SBM ITB is a school that is full of innovations. “Although the school is within Institute Technology Bandung which is an engineering university, but SBM ITB was established with the spirit of leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation. We want students to become leaders in corporations or entrepreneurs.”
Besides talking about innovation and leadership, Prof. Kuntoro also mentioned about humanity which becomes an important value for all MBA students. “Humanity means we care for the environment, care for our neighbors, and care for those who are unfortunate,” said him.
The activities of this event went well and all participants had fun. Besides learning about their new MBA programs, students were also enjoying their time to know each other. Welcome, new MBA students of Jakarta campus!
