Graduated from a doctoral study at University of the West of England (UWE) Bristol, United Kingdom in Built Environment Research in 2007, Yos earned his Master in Environmental System Engineering from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan in 2004. Yos is an alumnus of ITB majoring Industrial Engineering in 2000. Yos joined SBM ITB in 2010 after previously working as a research fellow at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom in 2008-2010. Now, Yos is an assistant professor at SBM ITB and also the Director of SBM ITB Jakarta Campus He has research interest the social-psychological aspects of decision making and behavior (eg social interaction, social learning, role of beliefs and expectations), sustainability (eg sustainable transport systems, green logistics) and the application of agent-based modeling and simulation in social issues, operational and manajemen. Yos joined the Decision Making and Negotiation Research Group with expertise / specialization in the field of decision making and behavior, and agent-based modeling. The results of his research have been published in several international journals including the European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR), Transportmetrica, Transportation Research A: Policy and Practice, Transport Geography, and Journal of Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics (JACIII), and several books including A Planner’s Encounter with Complexity (Ashgate Publishers) and The Expanding Sphere of Travel Behaviour Research (Emerald Group Publishing). The co-editor for Applications of Soft Computing: Updating the State of the Art was also involved in consultancy project with David Simmonds Consultancy, Cambridge, UK.
