Agung Wicaksono - TransJakarta Governor Anies Baswedan signed decree announcing Agung Wicaksono to lead PT Transjakarta in Jakarta (30/10/2018). “Even I previously worked at the transportation company, but it has not yet operated. But Transjakarta is rather different. Not only because this company has been operating, but it has served 800,000 per day. So, I would start my first day to know, learn, and to understand,” said Agung.

Who is Agung Wicaksono? Obtained his Doctor of Corporate Governance at the University of St Gallen, Agung lectures Business Ethics and Marketing Management for the MBA ITB program. Apart from teaching, Agung was assigned as the Director of Operation and Maintenance for MRT Jakarta before joining Transjakarta.

In 2015, he was assigned by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources as the Vice Chairman of Program Management Office (PMO) of 35000 MW Electricity Projects led by Nur Pamudji. During SBY’s era, Agung also served as Special Assistant to the Head of President’s Delivery Unit for Development Monitoring and Oversight (UKP4).

As reported by Kompas.com, Agung replaced Budi Kaliwono who had served TransJakarta since 2016. Budi did well to increase the number of passengers from 144 million people in 2017 to 190 million this year. The predecessor hoped that Agung could raise the numbers to 300 million per year in 2019 following the integrated transportation system in Jakarta.

“A good transition is to respect previous achievements, experiences, and to support continuous change and improvement afterwards,” as Agung wrote.
