The aims of this business trip is to increase insight and knowledge of students to the development of the business industry in the country. The field trip destinations are Bandung Creative Hub (BCH), Sindang Reret Restaurant, and J & C Cookies.

Bandung Creative Hub (BCH)

IMG_8813Bandung Creative Hub (BCH) is a creative centre provided by the Government of Bandung City for its citizens who work in the field of creative industry. Here, students are given information regarding free facilities provided by the government at BCH. Then the students were invited for touring to see the various facilities. Students are very enthusiastic, especially for those who have interest and business in the field of creative industries. The field sectors that can be facilitated here are facilities for shows and films, audio and music studios, dance rooms, sewing rooms, animation studios, fashion rooms, art galleries, production studios and post-production of digital works such as games and animation, photography space, design production room with 3D printers, laser cutters, and rooms for workshops, training, or meetings.

RM Sindang Reret

IMG_8902After visiting BCH, students were invited to visit the Sindang Reret Restaurant located in Gasibu area. Students who have businesses in culinary sector can ask about tips and strategies in the culinary industry. Students were greeted very friendly by the Owner and General Manager of Sindang Reret, Mrs. Tetti Teriawaty, MM. Here, for around 60 minutes students were invited to discuss and conduct sharing sessions related to culinary industry, hospitality, as well as information about the development of the Sindang Reret group’s business. After sharing session was finished, students got special experiences from live cooking attractions that also involved students in their attractions.

 

J&C Cookies

IMG_9072The last destination is J & C Cookies located in Bojong Koneng area. Before conducting a sharing session with Mr. Jodi Janitra (owner), students were invited to tour to see cake production process at J & C factory. Students are informed about his journey in building businesses, business strategies and messages for start-up entrepreneurs, and the importance of being active in various communities to increase business networks. The majority of sharing sessions came from student questions (Q&A session), a special message from him is to understand the value of business to be carried out and not to only-follow a business because of the trends.
