Fail fast, fail cheaply, and succeed quickly are three phrases that 18 start-up activists keep in mind during the Internal Session of The Greater Hub Batch-13 on Saturday (29/10/2022) in Bandung. These three phrases were used by Muhamad Nur Awaludin or Mumu, the Co-founder, and CEO of Fammi, to share the story of the ups and downs of building a start-up from 2014 until now.

Various participants came with different business focuses, from from participants with parenting backgrounds, content creation training, to logistics. Fammi is a parenting platform for parents to control their children’s activities anywhere and anytime. Fammi has collaborated with communities, schools, and even the local government.

Mumu brought material with the big theme of Lean Start-up. According to him, starting with a simple concept will make it easier for a start-up to continue to grow with the smallest losses. Business owners can freely do the change of business direction or pivot. Mumu said that his team continued to fail until they had to pivot approximately four times before finally finding a turning point.

“Up to that point, we found what innovation can be successful. That is, it must be needed (desired), can be implemented (feasible), and makes business sense (viable),” said Mumu.

Mumu emphasized that a business consists of an iterative process that keeps repeating itself over time. The process forms a cycle that contains the building, measuring, and learning processes.

“The cycle of building, measuring, and learning processes must be carried out during the ideation process and profit,” he continued explaining.

After about 40 minutes presentation, the MC opened a question session to accommodate the audiences’ s curiosity in the event.
