SBM ITB officially signed a strategic partnership with one of the world’s top universities, Coventry University, England. It is the beginning of ITB’s collaboration with Coventry University.

“I am very pleased with this collaboration,” said Professor Richard Dashwood, Representative from Coventry University, after signing the collaboration at ITB, Bandung, on 28 November 2022. “I believe we can change the world with this great collaboration.”

Acting Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the School of Business Management (SBM) ITB Professor Tjandra Anggraeni, Ph.D., said this collaboration leads to wider cooperation. The scope of collaboration will involve cross faculties.

“We have talked with the Faculty of Environmental Technology about this collaboration and invited them to participate,” said Prof. Tjandra.

According to Tjandra, collaboration with FTL leads to developing environmental, social, and good governance (ESG) business practices. Other faculties, such as mechanical engineering, can benefit from the collaboration between SBM ITB and Coventry University.

This collaboration are not only for student exchange but also for research, development research, student scholarships, and others.

“We have discussed expanding the collaboration between ITB and Coventry University. Around sustainable transportation, autonomous transportation, and electric transportation,” said Richard Dashwood. “Hopefully, this collaboration will develop not only in business schools but also in other sectors.”

Yuliani Dwi Lestari, Chair of the Management Science Doctoral Study Program, SBM ITB, added, “Soon, two Ph.D. students from SBM ITB will depart for Coventry University to carry out Dual-Degree program for a year.”

“With this initial collaboration between the two business schools, I believe we will have a strong long-term collaboration,” added Richard.

SBM ITB also hopes that this collaboration can develop global expansion so that in the future, industry, research, and universities can develop; this begins with educational collaborations that have been implemented.
