Girl Corp, a group of three students from the SBM ITB, has just won the 2023 Indonesia Agribusiness Fair business case study held by the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). The three students, Agustin Anandia Kartika Prabasari, Intan Nurhaliza, and Susan Nuraini, managed to steal the jury’s attention with their presentations and innovative solutions to the case studies given. This competition includes two stages: paper preparation and presentation in front of the jury.

In post-victory interviews, the three students shared their experiences in facing the challenges of the competition. They revealed that their journey began with curiosity and determination to keep trying. Even though they have failed before, their enthusiasm to continue competing never fades.

“The effect when you win or lose is both addictive,” said Susan in Bandung (12/11).

She emphasized that previous failures or victories did not destroy their enthusiasm but fostered an addiction to continue competing. The three students also explained their preparation for the competition, including writing papers, coaching sessions with lecturers, and presentation practice. They emphasize the importance of gaining broad and diverse perspectives to produce better analyses and solutions.

Asked about their difficulties, they mentioned several obstacles, such as limited data and time. However, they emphasized that this experience provided precious learning. When they participate in competitions, they get winning bonuses and learn things they might not be able to get in college classes.

Girl Corp advises other students who are interested in participating in similar competitions. They emphasize the importance of perseverance, seeking diverse perspectives, and not giving up in the face of failure.
