SBM ITB successfully hosted the 11th Bandung Startup Pitching Day (BSPD) on July 1 in Bandung. This year’s event, themed “Empowering the Future with Innovation in AI, IoT, EdTech, Green Technology, and SDGs,” brought together 20 of the most promising startups with dozens of prominent investors from both Indonesia and abroad.

The 20 selected startups from various sectors, ranging from robotics and smart agriculture to waste management, had the opportunity to present their business models to leading investors such as East Ventures, BNI Venture, BRI Venture, Genesia Ventures, Init-6, and Telkomsel Ventures. BSPD 2025 was made possible by the synergy of the five pillars of the Bandung startup ecosystem: The Greater Hub SBM ITB, the Directorate of Science and Technology Area (DKST) ITB, Startup Bandung, Geek Hunter, and Block71 Bandung.

“Through BSPD, venture capitalists who have a deeper understanding of market trends can provide valuable feedback. We hope this serves as a reminder to keep our incubation curriculum aligned with investor needs and to produce startups ready for growth consistently,” said Dina Dellyana, Head of the Greater Hub SBM ITB Incubator.

R. Sugeng Joko Sarwono, Director of the ITB Science and Technology Area Directorate, introduced the ITB Innovation Park as a strategic facility managed by the Innovation and Technology Development Center (DKST ITB) to accelerate startup growth.

“DKST ITB acts as a catalyst for the growth of technology-based startups by offering a supportive ecosystem that includes co-creation spaces, laboratory facilities, mentoring, and strategic networking to help bring innovative technologies to market,” he added.

The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing four standout startups. bubbME Mobile Game received the Most Innovative award, KawanBantu was named Best Pitch, Wattr earned the Most Impactful award, and BIKI was awarded Most Marketable.

With increasing enthusiasm from participants and stakeholders, Bandung Startup Pitching Day 2025 once again demonstrated its vital role in bridging technological innovation and investment access, while reinforcing Bandung’s position as a key hub in the global startup ecosystem.
