Profile

Ana Noveria, PhD serves as an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Economics at the School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM-ITB). She completed her PhD in Economics at Newcastle University Business School, United Kingdom, funded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) scholarship. Her research interests include industrial economics, behavioral finance/economics, economics of education and digital economy.

She also holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Economics from Colorado State University, USA (Fulbright scholar), an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Monash University, Australia (Australian Development Scholarship), and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance Management from Universitas Indonesia, where she received high-achievement scholarships from Fuji Bank and ExxonMobil. In 2012, she was granted a scholarship from the Support for Economic Analysis Development in Indonesia (SEADI) Project funded by USAID. Her academic background reflects a strong foundation across economics, finance, and policy studies, supported by multiple international academic awards and recognitions.

In 2024, she was a visiting faculty at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, through an Erasmus+ grant, teaching Behavioral Finance and International Financial Management. Her early teaching experience began at Universitas Indonesia, where she taught in the fields of managerial economics, accounting and finance. Later, while pursuing her PhD at Newcastle University, she served as a graduate teaching assistant and course instructor for undergraduate and master’s programs. These formative experiences shaped her teaching philosophy, emphasizing analytical rigor, policy relevance, and practical application in the study of economics and finance.

Before returning to academia, she gained professional experience as a Consultant at Accenture Indonesia, where she was involved in Business and IT consulting projects across strategic, financial, and market research and benchmarking. In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Noveria has developed strong experience in consulting, particularly in financial and market analysis, investment feasibility, and sustainable financing projects for both government institutions and State-Owned Enterprises.

Dr. Noveria’s has published in several peer-reviewed international journals and contributed to conferences in Europe, Asia, and the Americas with grants from reputable institutions namely International Association for Applied Econometrics, Econometric Society and Royal Economic Society. Beyond academia, she continues to contribute to leadership and executive education programs for senior management in major corporations and financial institutions, including State-Owned Enterprises and Bank Indonesia. Through her academic and professional engagements, she actively promotes the integration of research, teaching, and policy practice to advance sustainable and inclusive economic development.
