SBM ITB held a graduation thanksgiving ceremony for the April 2025 period at the InterContinental Bandung on Saturday (26/4). The event celebrated the graduation of 530 students, 218 of whom earned cum laude predicate.
Carrying the theme “Journey, Growth, and Glory,” the ceremony invited graduates to glorify the name of God, the nation, and the country with an enduring spirit of learning. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ignatius Pulung Nurprasetio, M.SME, stated that the occasion marked a meaningful achievement.
“Remember the challenging journey that shaped your resilience. Continue to innovate while upholding ethics, and become a leader who makes an impact in a constantly changing world,” said Pulung.
Before the ceremony, graduates also participated in the official graduation procession at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga), where they had the opportunity to shake hands directly with the ITB Chancellor. One of the graduates, Naveen Naomi Pangaribuan, a Management undergraduate who completed a double degree in Groningen, the Netherlands, described the moment as a dream come true.
“I learned many survival skills, especially while studying abroad. Joining study groups in the library until late at night was a valuable experience. Finally, I made it to this point,” she said.
SBM ITB graduates are expected to be part of a productive and impactful generation. During their studies, they gained hands-on experience through collaborations with companies and organizations such as PT Pertamina, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Kaltim Prima Coal, Landscape Indonesia, Bank Syariah BTPN, the ITB Alumni Association, Markplus Institute, Bukit Asam, Bank SMBC Indonesia, and PT Borneo Indobara.
Abdullah Ayman, an alumnus of the MBA Entrepreneurship program and now the owner of PT Magenta Megah Lestari in the furniture sector, expressed his environmental commitment.
“Not all wood can be cut down,” he said. “As an ITB graduate, I want to make an impact by creating jobs and improving community welfare.”
Similarly, Muhammad Taufik, a graduate of the Inhouse program from Pertamina Prabumulih Class, emphasized that the knowledge acquired during his studies is applicable to make real contributions in the workplace.
Chairman of the SBM ITB Alumni Association, Novrizal Pratama, encouraged graduates to to make an impact wherever they are.
“We must think not only of ourselves, but of how to improve the welfare of others. Lead with your heart, even in the most difficult times,” said Novrizal.
With renewed motivation, SBM ITB continues to uphold its mission to produce future leaders who are innovative, ethical, and impactful. This graduation marks the beginning of a greater contribution to the nation and the world.
