SBM ITB has officially launched the 13th batch of its Coaching Clinic for West Java MSMEs on May 23, 2025, selecting 50 entrepreneurs from a total of 350 applicants to receive exclusive mentoring from experienced and certified coaches.
Now in its 13th iteration, the program adopts a new hybrid approach and runs for one and a half months, featuring six intensive sessions. It is managed by The Greater Hub in collaboration with Akseleraksi, a social and educational platform founded by MBA alumni and incubated under ITB’s Directorate of Science and Technology Areas (DKST).
Since its inception, the Coaching Clinic has partnered with over 200 coaches and supported more than 1,000 MSMEs across West Java. The program was officially opened by the Greater Hub SBM ITB Program Manager, Adita Pritasari, who encouraged participants to approach the sessions with an open mind.
“As the host, I welcome you to the 13th West Java MSME Coaching Clinic. I hope you adopt the mindset of an empty glass, always open to new knowledge, so we can grow and learn together,” Adita said.
Support also came from Rumah BUMN, one of the ecosystem partners for MSMEs. Radinal Pramudha Sirat, CEO of Rumah BUMN Bandung, encouraged participants to use the resources available.
“I warmly invite you to Rumah BUMN. Please come and use our free, open-access facilities. We share the same vision as SBM,” said Radinal.
Indah Darapuspa, Co-Founder of Akseleraksi, also expressed her hopes for the commitment of all parties involved.
“We will meet again in various upcoming and fully guided sessions. The coaches’ voluntary contributions help build networks and collaboration. Let’s value the time and commitment over the next month and a half so that we can maximize the impact,” Indah said.
The Coaching Clinic includes consultations, assignments, mentoring, and training focused on mindset development, digital literacy, and the green economy, all aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One-on-one mentoring is delivered flexibly, alongside technical workshops tailored to each participant’s needs.
The coaches represent diverse industry backgrounds, including retail business owners, successful MSME entrepreneurs, and professionals in the e-commerce sector. The program has already shown impact; for instance, a graduate of the 9th batch, Tenun.in, secured funding from ANGIN and the ASEAN Foundation to expand into the Southeast Asian market.
Participants have shown great enthusiasm, hoping the program can help solve their business challenges. One such participant is Dina Wikana, owner of Ayam Kampung Honje Nok Dina, who traveled from Cirebon to Bandung for the launch event.
“I really need help creating pamphlets, company profiles, and handling legal documentation. I had a mentor when I was at the university, but only now do I understand the importance of a company profile when seeking investors. My current challenges are offline marketing, partnership networks, and business model support,” she shared.
Yus, a representative from Baspang, another F&B business, also expressed high hopes for the program.
“The pace of digital business is accelerating, and we need to keep up. We are eager to digitize,” he said.
Baspang is one of the region’s creative economy products, earning 5th place out of 2,200 participants in the 2024 BRI incubation program and collaborating with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
Through this sustainable initiative, SBM ITB aims to ensure that the Coaching Clinic is not only a space for knowledge sharing but also a platform that delivers real impact and opens broader opportunities for MSMEs from Bogor to Cirebon.
