Ganesha Business Management Festival (GBMF), an annual event organized by the SBM ITB, is back with a new spirit. Carrying the theme “Advancing Economic Inclusivity for Equitable Growth”, the peak event of GBMF 2025, which took place on Sunday (1/6) in Bandung, is committed to creating the widest possible participation space for all levels of society in encouraging fair and equitable economic growth.
“Through GBMF, we want to create an inclusive platform where everyone, regardless of their background, will have the same opportunity to learn, grow, and connect,” said Darryl, Project Officer GBMF 2025. “We believe that fair economic growth cannot only involve a handful of parties but must involve everyone. The hope is that GBMF can be a meeting point for ideas, collaboration, and real actions with a long-term impact.”
The series of GBMF 2025 events features a range of interesting activities. Starting from a business competition for students and pupils that successfully attracted more than 2,277 participants.
The festival was also enlivened by an exhibition held at Summarecon Mall Bandung. The exhibition featured more than 130 innovative works by students from various levels, ranging from first-year to third-year students.
These projects are the result of learning from various courses, including Introduction to Engineering and Design and Experience-Based Management Learning for first-year students, as well as Prototypes and Business Plans from the Entrepreneurship program and Integrative Business Experience from the Management program.
In addition to the business innovation showcase, visitors can also attend an inspiring talk show featuring interesting guest speakers, including Jovial da Lopez, a content creator who also serves as Chief Creative Officer of Narasi. The talk show also featured Helmy Yahya, a businessman and business coach, who discussed the topic “Empowering Local Economies: Bridging Financial Gaps for Inclusive Growth”. Both invited participants to recognize the crucial role of the younger generation in addressing economic challenges across generations.
As part of its commitment to inclusivity, GBMF also provides business pitching opportunities for young entrepreneurs at the Idea Spark event. Ten selected teams will present their business ideas to investors from various venture capital firms. This activity is expected to open greater access to funding and bring together innovations with relevant business networks.
GBMF offers not only educational and collaborative activities but also entertainment, including performances by ITB Jazz. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of engaging games and creative workshops designed to inspire creativity through fun, hands-on experiences. The workshops are open to the public and welcome participants of all ages.
Combining education, innovation, and entertainment, GBMF 2025 serves as a catalyst for inclusive economic transformation. This vision is further supported by a diverse group of sponsors who play a vital role in the event’s success. Sponsors include SeaBank, ShopeePay, Alexa Pure Water, Zeus Kimiatama Indonesia, PIXY, Marvee Clinic, the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), Kartika Sari, and Zoetis. Their involvement reflects strong cross-sector collaboration in advancing more equitable and sustainable economic growth.
