SBM ITB presents immersion program for Sasin Thailand MBA students in Bali

September 30, 2025

SBM ITB is facilitating the “Sasin Connect+” immersion program for MBA students from the Sasin School of Management, Thailand. This four-day program in Bali provides hands-on experience in business, culture, and personal development in Indonesia. Sasin appointed SBM ITB as the primary facilitator of this short-stay program for its students in Indonesia.

Participants will follow a “surprise” concept, receiving no detailed daily schedule. Each day begins with listening to a thematic podcast before activities start.

The program is built around three main pillars: Possibilities, Poison, and Passion.

On the first day, titled “Possibilities,” attendees participated in lectures and case studies highlighting business opportunities in Indonesia. They gained insights from Eco Bali Recycling, Yudho Anggoro, a lecturer from SBM ITB, and the team from Paragon Corp.

The second day, focused on “Poison,” emphasized self-reflection through activities related to mangrove conservation and discussions about Balinese ecotourism. Participants also engaged in an ecoprinting workshop, where they created eco-friendly goodie bags.

The third day, dedicated to “Passion,” included a reflection session at the Monkey Forest in Ubud. Here, participants explored their personal passions and interests. The day also featured traditional dance performances and an immersion in Ubud’s rich culture.

Each day, participants participated in personal coaching sessions and wrote daily reflections. The program concluded with participant presentations and an appreciation session.

Dreq B. Mallory, PhD, a representative from the Sasin School of Management, expressed appreciation for the program. He noted that the name “Sasin Connect+” reflects the program’s aim of strengthening connections among students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

“Thanks to ITB, our students have the opportunity to connect with peers, alumni, and staff from diverse cultures and backgrounds,” he said.

This program demonstrates SBM ITB’s commitment to supporting the vision of international partners through strong teamwork and collaboration. Sasin hopes that this collaboration will continue in the future.
