January 14, 2026

SBM ITB received an award in the Appreciation for Chief Editor and Editorial Board Member category at the Research, Innovation, and Community Service Exhibition (PRIMA Award) held by ITB in the West and East Halls of the Ganesha Campus, Bandung, on Tuesday (12/16). This award, presented in conjunction with the ITB CEO Summit 2025, honors their dedication to managing scientific publications that catalyze the dissemination of knowledge in the field of technology management.

The award were given to Prawira Fajarindra Belgiawan, Ph.D. (Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Technology Management), Annisa Rahmani Qastharin, S.T., M.Sc. (Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Technology Management), and Dzikri Firmansyah Hakam, Ph.D. (Editor-in-Chief of The Asian Journal of Technology Management).

The 2025 PRIMA Award is a prestigious recognition event for academics who have successfully bridged the gap between laboratory research and the needs of industry. In his remarks, the Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., emphasized that ITB’s vision for the 2025–2030 period focuses on strengthening the national deep-tech ecosystem.

In this context, the role of SBM ITB is crucial. Downstream research requires not only technical excellence but also management strategies, market analysis, and a strong business model to ensure that the market can effectively absorb innovations.

This aligns with the direction of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, Ph.D., who stated that research must be demand-driven (based on market demand). Journals managed by SBM ITB, such as the Journal of Technology Management (JMT) and The Asian Journal of Technology Management (AJTM), play a vital role in documenting and disseminating best practices for managing innovation to create real economic impact.

This award, presented to the editors of SBM ITB, recognizes the school’s commitment to maintaining the quality of management literature in Indonesia and Asia. Under the leadership of Prawira Fajarindra Belgiawan and Dzikri Firmansyah Hakam, both journals remain primary references for researchers and practitioners seeking to understand the dynamics between technological advancement and business strategy.

With the theme “Synergy, Spreading Inspiration, and Impact,” the PRIMA ITB & CEO Summit 2025 concluded on a high note. SBM ITB’s active participation in this forum reaffirmed that the future of Indonesian innovation depends heavily on seamless collaboration between science, technology, and management.
