Mark said, he and Ken Schrader started the start-up company several years ago when Mark retired as HP engineer. At first, they were intent on finding a way to make a difference in the world starting with sustainable energy. They found that most of people reluctant to ride bicycle since it needs extra energy to pedal. While as we know, riding cars will add more pollution. Years after, they found a solution for people commuting without cars, the Ridekick power trailer. Ridekick-equipped bikes for errands, commuting to and from work, visiting friends, going out to dinner. Ridekick bridges the gap between an electric bike and a tow-behind trailer.
The story of how Ridekick International began is unique and fun, much like the Ridekick power trailer itself, even the students actively involved in Q&A session. In the end of the sharing session, Mike and Deborah encourage the students, which mostly from MBA CCE program, to make their business with strong passion of innovation.
