Achmad Fajar Hendarman finished a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2005. In 2006, Fajar received a scholarship to continue his studies in Master of Science in Management in School of Business and Management (SBM) ITB and graduated with a GPA of 4,00 out of 4,00 (with the predicate of Cum Laude) in 2008.

Then, he received an award from the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst – German Academic Exchange Service) in 2013 to continue his study in Doctoral Program and took doctoral program (PhD) in Human Behavior in Social and Economic Changes, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany. On 3rd of May 2017, he completed his PhD (with the predicate of Cum Laude). He has been a Permanent Lecturer of ITB (Non-Public Servant)) since 2019 as an assistant professor in SBM ITB.

Fajar continues his research interest as well as consulting project that relates to human capital, organizational development, innovation, knowledge management, performance management, business analytics, people analytics, business process, and feasibility studies for different type of firms and industries. He finished, a 10-weeks online short copurse from Cambridge relates to Business Analytics: Decision making using Data in 2020. Starting in January 2023 to August 2025, Fajar has a position as the chair of the undergraduate program in management of SBM ITB, Indonesia.
