University of Glasgow (UoG) was founded in 1451 in Glasgow, Scotland. The university, known for its opposition and research that has international ownership, has become one of the ancient universities in Scotland, questioning four worlds that support Britain and one of the largest learning places in the United Kingdom. The University of Hull (UoH) was founded in 1927 – originally as University College Hull. The foundation stone was laid the following year by the Duke of York (later King George VI, of The King’s Speech fame) and they opened for business with 39 students and 14 ‘one-man’ departments.
