Profile

Dr. Dzikri Hakam has a distinguished academic and professional background, holding a Ph.D. in Energy Economics and a Master's degree in International Oil and Gas Management from the University of Dundee's Centre for Energy, Petroleum, and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP). His technological education began with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). He also holds Ir (Insinyur) from Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM). His scholarship also includes Islamic Economics and Finance, as he holds a Postgraduate Diploma from Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee, which is comparable to a Master's Degree.

Dr. Hakam has been recognized for his academic contributions and research excellence as a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship, LPDP Award, Best Student Award, and Al-Maktoum Bursary Award.

Dr. Hakam has served with distinction in numerous roles such as wireline engineer, power engineer, Senior researcher, Manager, Expert, and Senior lecturer over the course of 17 years, leaving an extensive impact on the institutions with which he has been connected. His research has appeared in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment, Energy Strategy Reviews, Utilities Policy, Heliyon, Sustainability, Energies, Economies, and Cogent Business and Management. His research has also been published in the Iranian Economic Review, and the International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, and he has given presentations at IAEE and IEEE conferences.

Dr. Hakam's commitment to academic rigor extends to his work as peer reviewer for international journals and conferences, ensuring that scholarly work is of the greatest quality.

His research interests are in Energy Economics and Finance, Islamic Economics and Finance, and market design, with a special emphasis on the critical concerns of net-zero carbon and energy transition strategies. Dr. Hakam's work centers on finding a harmonious balance between sustainable development with economic and financial strategies.
