Nur Budi Mulyono is a full-time lecturer at the School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM-ITB), specializing in Operations Management, Digital Supply Chain, and Digital Transformation. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from ITB, and later completed his Doctor of Engineering in Knowledge Based Information Engineering at Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan.
At SBM-ITB, he has served in various academic and organizational roles, including Head of the Undergraduate Management Program (2021–2022), Head of Laboratory of Educational Games, and member of accreditation and curriculum development task forces. He was also appointed as Chair of the Strategic Planning and Monitoring & Evaluation Team for SBM ITB (2025–2030) and contributed as an editor for the Journal of Technology Management. Beyond campus, he was entrusted with strategic responsibilities, such as being part of the West Java Provincial Government’s COVID-19 Policy and Economic Recovery Task Force (2020) and the Food Security Command Team (2023).
His research and professional projects focus on supply chain management, digital transformation, and industry 4.0 implementation. He has led multiple research grants, including the NORHED II Project from Norad Norway (2021–2025) on Digital Supply Chain, and the World Class Professor program (2019). His professional engagements include designing Pertamina’s Digital Hub Business Processes (2025), conducting supply chain optimization for Pertamina International Shipping, leading Industry 4.0 readiness and lighthouse projects with Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry, as well as delivering corporate training in areas such as Digital Transformation at BUMN School of Excellence and Professional Qualification at PLN.
He actively collaborates with state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and private companies, conducting training and advisory in areas such as Sales and Operation Planning, Objective Key Results (OKR), Digital Transformation, Project Management, Competency Development, and Operational Excellence. His expertise bridges academic rigor and practical impact.
His research interests include digital transformation strategy, supply chain management, logistics optimization, Industry 4.0 implementation, performance management, and humanitarian logistics. He also focuses on the intersection of digital and analytics with operations, particularly in the areas of business process improvement, data-driven decision-making, and sustainable operations.
