At the end of the competition journey, there were 5 best finalists who successfully walked into the Final Round to present their business ideas in front of the judges and walked away with the prizes on Wednesday (6/7/2011) at MBA ITB Campus Jakarta. Those best 5 were (with their business idea):

  1. Karya Muda Persada (Universitas Indonesia) with Educational Puppet (Boneka Edukasi) MIKOBI
  2. Depot Crispy (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November) with Crispy Snacks
  3. Wetick (SBM ITB) with Online Book Service
  4. Zalbamedia (Institut Teknologi Indonesia) with Educational Portal
  5. Buzzle (STEI ITB) with Social Networking Application

Mostly in English, those youngsters battled to defense their business ideas through operation, finance, and marketing strategies. Meanwhile, the judges opened the fact of real business and the major issues within. “Your ideas is excellent but you need to precisely know your target market as well as your competitors,”said repeatedly by the judges. Acted as fellow Jury were:

  • Isti Raafaldini, Bob Situmorang, and Zoel Hutabarat (CIEL)
  • Violison Martheo (Director of Wintec)
  • Jeremy Thomas (Principal of VMT Creative & JTR Network)

It is not easy to determine the winners. But we must,“said Jeremy followed by his announcement of the first winner – that is – Buzzle from STEI. “I am very surprised and proud by my students’s achievement, “said Kaprodi ET STEI ITB, Dr. Adit Kurniawan, who accompanied his students in the Finale. Came on the second place was Mikobi puppets and Depot Crispy on the third place. Both Wetick and Zalbamedia followed on the fourth and fifth.
