On February 6th 2015, delegations from Macquaire University, Lorne Cummings and Salut Muhidin, came to SBM ITB to seek a collaboration opportunity between SBM ITB and Macquaire University. Lorne Cummings, who is a Professor of Accounting and Associate Dean, Higher Degree Research, came with many ideas back and brought a lot of interesting information regarding exchange programs in Macquaire University. “It is very exciting to develop partnership with Macquaire University” said Dina Dellyana. Macquarie University is Australia’s number 1 modern university and 16 in the world. It is located in the heart of Australia?s largest high-technology precinct, providing outstanding research and innovation opportunities with some of the world?s leading organisations.
They have many global partners in 27 countries particularly in Europe and include many top Chinese universities such as Tsinghua, Fudan, Jilin. “Now, we seek to develop deeper and stronger our partnership in Asia since mostly we have partnership in Europe. I hope SBM ITB will be the pioneer for our partner in Indonesia. This is our future.” said Lorne Cummings.
It is a great opportunity for SBM students to engage with Business and E conomics at Macquarie. It professionally accredited programs e.g CPA, IAA, AHRI, and many more. Also, they offer Visiting International Scholar Program (VISA) that provides up to $10,000 funding for visiting scholars.
Now, they are in process to make MoU and MoA between SBM ITB and Macquarie University. Hopefully this exchange program will be run next year. ***
