A student from the Master of Business Administration Institute Technology Bandung represents Indonesia in an international competition held by the Indonesia Global Network in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (25-28/8/2019). AYIMUN is a Model United Nations competition consisting of 17 councils, namely UNSC, ASEAN UNION, FAO, UNEP, WHO, UNDP, IOM, UN-WOMEN, UNHCR, UNICEF, INTERPOL, AFRICA-UNION, UNCTAD, UNESCO, UNISDR.

The Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) is a platform where youth mentality in leadership, negotiation and diplomacy will be developed in a Model United Nations. Our outstanding ITB student was Cheryl Marlitta Stefia. Cheryl has been selected among 33,814 applicants as one of Asia Youth International Model United Nations 2019’s delegates. Cheryl explained that the Model United Nations is an academic simulation combining the rules, procedures, and workflow of the UN. AYIMUN itself is aimed at providing a platform for future young diplomats to promote understanding of issues and policies and debating perspectives between participants from different backgrounds and ethnicities.

Cheryl will represent Indonesia from the African-Union council, The African-Union Council will follow by 45 delegates from all over the world.

“We will learn to understand the policies of other countries. We also hope there will be more students who follow MUN to train their critical thinking and pay more attention to the issues of the world,” said Cheryl

Well, Best of luck, Cheryl
