SBM ITB celebrated its 17th birthday virtually on Wednesday, 6/1/2021. Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim hoped that SBM ITB implements Kampus Merdeka (Freedom Campus) program conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Moreover, Nadiem expected SBM ITB to create innovative leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset. Thus, SBM ITB can lead Indonesia as a developed country through its graduates.
“Keep innovating, be a pioneer in collaborating study based on project and focus on problem-solving,” Nadiem says.
Minister of Health and Advisor of SBM ITB Budi Gunadi also hoped SBM ITB creates creative leaders that can contribute to solving the nation’s problems. He encouraged SBM ITB to conducts some useful researches for Indonesia that can be respected by the world.
In his speech, Dean of SBM ITB Utomo Sarjono Putro expressed his hope that this celebration can become a moment to remember the spirit of SBM ITB’s founders. The spirit to make dreams come true and be brave to innovate as the founders did.
“We must be brave to take risks and get out of our comfort zone,” said Utomo.
ITB Rector Reini Wirahadikusumah said happy 17th birthday for SBM ITB. She thanked SBM ITB for always supporting ITB in implementing its vision to be a university with excellent tradition. Globally Respected/Locally Relevant.
