SBM ITB signed a cooperation agreement with PT Bio Farma to implement the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka
(MBKM) program. With this collaboration, SBM ITB students have the opportunity to do an internship at PT Bio Farma for a maximum of one year.

The signing of cooperation agreement between SBM ITB and PT Bio Farma in implementing MBKM, was held online, on Thursday (24/6/2021).).

The agreement was signed by Vice Dean for Resources for SBM ITB Reza Ashari Nasution and PT Bio Farma’s SEVP Human Capital and Compliance Disril Revolin Putra, also attended by Soleh Ayubi, Director of Digital Transformation of PT Bio Farma.

Vice Dean for Resources for SBM ITB Reza Ashari Nasution said, the scope of the agreement included internships for students.

“This is a concrete step to bring resources to other parties to be more optimal. In an ecosystem-based era, it is very difficult if we only rely on our own internal resources, the results will be different if we collaborate with partners in our ecosystem,” Reza said.

Reza added, Bio Farma, which is engaged in the healthcare sector, became a trend and the backbone at the time of Covid-19 pandemic. SBM ITB also collaborated because it is an extraordinary company that has many innovations and has transformed into a company that competitive based on a digital ecosystem.

“Each party will be able to learn the problem of agility, flexibility and the ability to adapt to each other, can help and overcome the boundaries,” Reza said.

With this internship activity, graduate students from SBM ITB can learn new things and their knowledge is more relevant in the field. With this MBKM program SBM ITB and PT Bio Farma work hand in hand for each other’s strengths for the advancement of generations, nations and countries.

Head of the Management Study Program at SBM ITB, Nur Budi Mulyono, added that the first step in this collaboration was student internships at PT Bio Farma. Students would work on a project at the Directorate of Digital Transformation at PT Bio Farma.

“In the Kampus Merdeka program, students will practice through one experience because we promotes the theme of learning through experience,” said Budi.

In working on the project, students will be guided by mentors, both from SBM ITB and PT Bio Farma.

Mentors play a role in accelerating student learning processes during internships. Budi said, this MoU is expected to provide benefits for both parties. Therefore, he hoped that there will be an exchange of knowledge between PT Bio Farma and SBM ITB.

For SBM ITB, PT Bio Farma is an important partner because it is an innovative company in digital transformation, especially in the health industry. In the future, Budi continued, there will be a wider collaboration between SBM ITB and PT Bio Farma.

SBM ITB has also collaborated with eight companies in realizing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka. Among them, PT Kata Data Indonesia said, PT. Olam Indonesia, PT. Nusantara Education Collaboration (Vokraf), PT. Kazee Digital Indonesia, IDC (International Data Corporation) Indonesia, Telkom Corporate University Center, and Jentera Indonesian Law College. The signing of MoU was represented by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Prof. Aurik Gustomo from SBM ITB and representatives from each company on 18 June 2021.

The scope of cooperation with the company included, besides internships, is recruitment and career services, exchange business insights, technology, and share experiences, knowledge, conduct joint research and innovation in joint research or joint innovation activities, mentorship activities, training and activities as well as developing a joint curriculum.
