The Greater Hub, a multi-platform business development under the SBM ITB, conducted the seventh batch of incubation opening ceremony Friday (4/2/2022). The event was held and led by Dina Dellyna, Director of Business Incubator The Greater Hub ITB.

Dina Dellyna opened the ceremony by explaining the concept of The Greater Hub. She explained the monthly activities at The Greater Hub: mentoring with residents, meeting the expert mentors, coaching (finance/legal), workshop, and exercise & progress updates.

She then introduced the resident mentors to monitor startup developments, accommodate startup needs, and organize expert mentors consultations with the startup they choose.

After the introduction, Dina Dellyna discussed the main topic: Start-Up Industry Landscape 2022. She started by explaining how Indonesian small and medium enterprise-focused startups dig deeper into fintech. She believes that 62 million SMEs are likely to underestimate finance, especially since family-owned businesses or solo entrepreneurs tend to be undercounted.

She then explained that nowadays, e-commerce is used as aggregators for startups, such as Una Brands and Rainforest. In addition, Dina Dellyna also mentioned acquired unicorns, growing corporate VC investments, growing global PEs participation, and initiatives & support from the stock exchange as key themes affecting the landscape recently. Lastly, Dina suggested some technologies to watch for the current landscape, such as AI, autonomous vehicles, big data analytics, cloud, custom manufacturing, 3D printing, IoT, robots and drones, and social media and platforms.

The session was then ended by a question and answer session regarding the startup industry landscape 2022 and The Greater Hub itself. As a director, Dina closed the session with hopes and goals for the seventh batch of The Greater Hub incubation.
