As a new technology, Metaverse requires many things to develop, one of which is financing. Investing in the metaverse world is a long, difficult, and expensive process. As a result, creative collaboration is necessary to provide value for effectiveness and productivity for many parties.

Daniel Surya, the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of the WIR Group, conveyed this on Thursday (11/8/2022) at the 7th International Conference on Management in Emerging Markets (ICMEM) 2022, organized virtually by the SBM ITB

Aside from funding, the education system must be planned. The benefits of the Metaverse, aiming to connect the offline and online worlds, must be properly communicated. This is where educational institutions and universities come in to educate and clarify various parties about the Metaverse.

“All of this is done to provide progress and development to individuals from different background,” Daniel explained.

The third issue is data security. The Metaverse must be capable of providing data security and identity from multiple perspectives. Despite the numerous challenges, Daniel remains optimistic that the Metaverse will help Indonesia in a positive direction.

The metaverse world is essentially close to the original world. Users can bring their everyday lives into the Metaverse. All profiles in the Metaverse will be digital profiles known as avatars. In the Metaverse, digital avatars are cutting-edge technology. The shape will not be limited to ordinary photographs.

Avatars can be detailed and precisely shaped to recognize and respond to our facial expressions and body language. Thus, avatars can be considered self-identity or self-representation in the metaverse world. Even in the future, our avatars can be used as digital assets to connect to various platforms such as Google, Facebook, and others.

Metaverse can be accessed via a variety of devices. Not only are Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality glasses utilized. You can, however, enter the Metaverse by using the phone screen.

The Metaverse, according to Daniel, is our future. The Metaverse could be a solution to the “high related market,” allowing us to shape the future together. Anyone can provide maximum values via Metaverse.

“In terms of approaching consumers, this technology can be used as a marketing strategy.” We want this Metaverse to be used in the same way that YouTube is because it is relevant to many people’s lives. As a result, effectiveness and productivity can be increased,” Daniel explained.
