Three students of SBM ITB, namely Eli Sulistyowati, Ramel Akil P, and Dinara Tsabita, made proud achievements by winning a national startup competition titled Information System Festival (ISFEST) 2022. Clinomania–their team name–also received funding for digital entrepreneurship development from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia in the 2022 Student Digital Entrepreneurial Innovation (IWDM) program.
The organizer of ISFEST 2022 is the Student Association of the Satya Wacana Christian University Information Systems Study Program, Salatiga. In this competition, Clinomania initiated a startup called ‘Tutorin’, a learning platform that facilitates the public to study with tutors privately and more personally than the existing tutoring programs.
“For tutoring, the package is usually per year or semester, so we created a flexible platform. When people want to learn, they can flexibly find a tutor and decide for themselves what they want to study, the materials, and how long it takes,” said Akil as CEO of Tutorin, when interviewed on Tuesday, 06/09/2022. “We want to create an ecosystem where learning can occur based on needs and desires.”
Not only limited to the academic subjects for high school students, but Tutorin also offers assistance in competition to careers. Thus, students need no longer be confused about finding a mentor who can guide them to develop and achieve achievements.
According to Eli, another member of the Clinomania team, thanks to the funding obtained, Tutorin is currently in the process of implementing its business idea. Apart from the three, the Tutorin was also built in collaboration with two students from other faculties at ITB, namely the School of Electrical and Informatics Engineering (STEI) and the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) ITB. The Clinomania team targets Tutorin to be launched by the end of this year.
“We are progressing gradually for realization. We are building brand awareness and activating social media,” said Eli. “We hope Tutorin can realize its useful purpose to help educate and provide opportunities for students to have work experience and earn additional income.”
