Institute for Research and Community Services or Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) of Institut Teknologi Bandung collaborates with the Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) of East Nusa Tenggara/Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) province and SBM ITB to hold a virtual micro, small and medium business exhibition since Friday (23/9/2022). The exhibition is a follow-up to community service activities carried out by LPPM ITB since July 2022.

This virtual exhibition aims to provide a digital promotion space and encourage NTT SMEs to be more widely known. The exhibition was officially opened by the Chairperson of the NTT province Dekranasda, Julie Sutrisno Laiskodat; the Head of Researcher from LPPM ITB and Head of Researcher for the Kupang Community Service Institute SBM ITB 2022, Achmad Gazali; Ph.D. Raja Aksana Alrando, Project Officer, delivered the technical presentation. “This virtual exhibition is accessible through the umkmntt.id website for up to one year,” said Raja.

The exhibition is designed so visitors can have the same experience as visiting offline exhibition. Visitors will fill out the guest book, visit the available tenants, and get information about MSMEs.

Interestingly, visitors can also transact and buy products offered by MSMEs because they are directly connected to sales accounts, either online stores or MSME Business WhatsApp. A series of registered MSMEs participated in the virtual exhibition, namely Almetira By Aquila, Mama Ana, Ghaura, Queenjor, Isabela, Sombra, Dapur Kelor, Kopan, La Moringa, Se’i Opa Rote, Fonara, Mindari, Valdano, Madu Khas NTT, and Yudhistira.

“This exhibition is expected to attract potential buyers of NTT MSME products. This is the first step to build collaboration in forming a digital ecosystem through the triple helix method in a digital-based marketing development pattern,” explained Achmad.
