At 11.00 WIB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ignatius Pulung Nurpraetio, M. SME., beating the drums, marked the opening of Kreanesia 2022 on Saturday, 26 November 2022, at Cihampelas Walk (Ciwalk) Mall, Bandung. Pulung opened the event as the Acting Deputy Dean for Resources for SBM ITB.

Kreanesia 2022 is an entrepreneurship exhibition for SBM ITB students at both undergraduate and master levels. Students can showcase their products and meet with community members, alumni, and the start-up community.

The opening ceremony was followed by a talk about the Master of Business Administration MBA program at Institut Teknologi Bandung (MBA ITB), Bandung Campus. Adrian Arianti, an alumnus of the MBA ITB program and the founder of Big Stamp and Gurita Shirt, elaborated the reason for joining the MBA ITB program. As an alumnus of the ITB Faculty of Art and Design, he is interested in the business world and wants to improve his skills.

The session was followed by an explanation of the program by the Program Director of MBA ITB Bandung Campus, Yunieta Anny Nainggolan, Ph.D. She explained that the learning method in MBA ITB classes applies many case studies and group discussions. The study group is called the Syndicate. Students are expected to complete case study assignments through each Syndicate.

Yunieta explained MBA ITB opens new student admissions twice a year in January and August. Three programs are offered at the Bandung Campus: Young Professional MBA, Executive MBA, and Entrepreneurship MBA.

30 SBM ITB Booths Participate in the Exhibition

Several parties are also sponsoring Kreanesia 2022, namely Practicum Indonesia, Invest.id, MDI Ventures, BNI, Rewind Booth, Linxbrain, ITB Alumni Association, Oxlabs, and Foodloop. In total, 40 booths participated in the exhibition, 30 of which stood for SBM ITB students.

Mengasihi’s stand is one of the start-up booths from the undergraduate level. Mengasihi, with maternal and child health equipment products, exhibited 2 of their products at the Kreanesia 2022 event.

Its products are powdered breast milk (ASI) and multipurpose bags for nursing mothers. Both products will be developed using a Business to Business (B2B) system.

Powdered breast milk products are exclusive breast milk that has been converted from liquid to powder through a freezing process at minus 20 degrees Celsius for one week. Its versatile product bag for nursing mothers is the innovation of bringing a diaper changing room into the bag. In addition, there is a thermometer in this bag to indicate the temperature in the bag compartment for milk in bottles that breastfeeding mothers usually carry.

The founder of Mengasihi, Zakaria, said that only about 50% of Indonesian babies get exclusive breastfeeding. Yet, according to research, exclusive breastfeeding has better nutrition than formula milk. This business, which has been running for about five months, has successfully attracted women’s attention, even though the founders are mostly men. According to Zakaria, he founded Mengasihi because he wanted to have a business in the social sector.

From the Master’s level, there was a Magfire booth, a solar stove product. Ibrahim, the founder of Magfire, revealed that his target market is mothers.

Developed in early 2022, this business displays the largest and most striking products at this exhibition. Its solar stove products rely on the sun as their fuel.

Ibrahim revealed that this technology is more efficient and environmentally friendly, especially compared to electric stoves. The product has been tested by several Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and communities.

Magfire offers its solar stove products for purchase, rental, and donations. He hopes that his business will have a moral and material impact on the environment.
