SBM ITB officially closed the International Conference on Management in Emerging Markets (ICMEM) in Bandung on August 21. The event concluded with awards for the best papers and presenters.
The best paper went to Rony Mayrizal (SBM ITB) with the title “Systemic Barrier and Leverage Points for Small-Scale Private Investment in Renewable Energy: Insights from Indonesia’s Energy Transition.” Second place went to Siti Maysarah (Sebelas Maret University) for her paper entitled, “Gender Diversity on Corporate Boards and ESG Controversies: A Sector-Sensitive Analysis of Women in Governance.” Third place went to Andi Hendra Paluseri (PT Pertamina (Persero)) for his paper entitled “Implementation Strategies of Carbon Neutral Events at Pertamina Group: A Qualitative Analysis of Organizational Practices.”
The best presenter went to Catherine Tara Mereditha (SBM ITB) with her presentation entitled “Integrating Time Series Forecasting Into Fund-of-Funds: A Dynamic Optimization and Rebalancing Strategy for the Indonesian Market.” Second place went to Evan Faturrahman (PLN Institute of Technology) with his presentation entitled “Indonesia’s Power Sector Scenarios to 2060: Modeling Geothermal, Solar, and Wind Expansion Under Energy Transition Policies.” Third place went to Ihsan Hadiansah (SBM ITB) with a presentation entitled “An Overview of Individual-level Success Factors in Managing SMEs from the Perspective of Cultural Intelligence in the Indonesian Context.”
Special awards were also given to promising scholars in special sessions. The Best Presenter for the Paper Development Workshop Session went to Sofia from Pertamina University. The Best Doctoral Colloquium Award went to Dr. (C) Aminah from SBM ITB.
The awards ceremony concluded with a festive atmosphere, featuring a stunning musical performance by ITB Jazz. The successful implementation of ICMEM underscores SBM ITB’s commitment to advancing management science and fostering a global network of researchers dedicated to understanding and shaping the future of the economy in emerging markets.
