The Laboratory of Educational Games (LEG) of SBM ITB, won the Most Interactive Booth award at the PRIMA ITB 2025 Exhibition, held in conjunction with the ITB CEO Summit at ITB Innovation Park Summarecon, Bandung, on Monday (12/15). The award was presented for LEG’s engaging use of educational game-based learning, which captivated visitors from both academia and industry.
PRIMA ITB 2025 is an annual event showcasing ITB’s research, innovation, and community service achievements in the form of posters and products. The exhibition featured work from the Directorate of Research and Innovation (DRI), the Directorate of Community Service and Expertise Services (DPMK), the Directorate of Science and Technology Areas (DKST), and 12 faculties and schools at ITB. In addition to the physical exhibition at the booth, works can also be accessed online through the Virtual Poster Gallery on prima.itb.ac.id.
The event was opened by ITB’s Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Ir. Lavi Rizki Zuhal, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of strategic collaboration in the downstreaming of research and innovation. He mentioned that universities need a supportive ecosystem, such as the Science Techno Park (STP), to ensure that research downstreaming continues to benefit society.

The series of activities also included a Fireside Talks session with CEOs entitled “Innovative Synergy, Spreading Inspiration, and Making an Impact.” This session featured stakeholders from academia, government, and industry, including Prof. Ir. Lavi Rizki Zuhal, Ph.D.; Dr. M. Fauzan Adziman, M.Eng. (Director General of Research and Development, Ministry of Education and Technology); Prof. apt. I Ketut Adnyana, Ph.D.; Prof. Yos Sunitiyoso, Ph.D.; and industry leaders from Telkomsel, Huawei, and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI).
At the exhibition, the SBM ITB LEG showcased educational games as a medium for experiential Business and management learning. Games on display included Get Business (negotiation and strategic thinking), Business Dictionary (educational cards with Augmented Reality/AR technology), Stuck Up and Down (stock market investor analysis and decision-making), and Say No to Bankrupt (a strategic board game about decision-making in building a business).
The SBM ITB LEG develops games using a learning-by-play approach and combines business and management knowledge with technology. The LEG also has the resources to develop various game formats, from board and card games to role-playing games, to web-based digital games, applications, and virtual reality, all designed with a foundation in research on human cognition, decision-making, business risk, strategy, entrepreneurship, and organizational performance.
As part of SBM ITB, the LEG provides a space for lecturers and students to innovate in learning, collaborate on research, and contribute to community development. LEG carries the motto “Acitya Kaharsa Wijaya” (knowledge, fun, excellence). It continues to provide innovative learning solutions relevant to education and industry.
