In general, applicants to MSM program must have the following:

  1. University’s accreditation of applicant is preferred minimum B to be accepted into the intended program.
  2. Academic levels that can register/participate in the selection are Diploma IV (Applied Bachelor) or Bachelor level graduates or passed a minimum of 144 credits (Indonesian credit system)/equalized
  3. Minimum GPA of 2.75 out of 4

Written Application

An eligible applicant for admission to MSM ITB you MUST provide a minimum TPA Bappenas score, or UPDA ITB score (not required for foreign candidates), and English proficiency scores.

We require uploaded transcripts from all undergraduate academic institutions of your previous study.

There is minimum GPA is 2.75 out of 4 or equivalent to apply. For international students, you must have at least 3.25 out of 4 to apply. Undergraduate academics are just one factor uses to evaluate an applicant.

We require uploaded bachelor’s degree certificate from all undergraduate academic institutions of your previous study.

Applicant must have Diploma IV (Applied Bachelor) or Bachelor degree from an accredited college/university minimum B in Indonesia or reputable overseas university.

We only accept the certificate of ELPT from UPT Bahasa ITB with a minimum score 101

There are two options available for taking the ELPT test:
1. Online test. Register directly through our online postgraduate registration form at https://admission.itb.ac.id with 2 fixed date options or through PSDM ITB website at https://psdm.itb.ac.id/information-test-elpt/
2. Offline test. Register directly through PSDM ITB website at https://psdm.itb.ac.id/information-test-elpt/ which will be held at Ganesha building Bandung Campus every Tuesday and Friday

Please note: That having TPA Bappenas/UPDA ITB and ELPT ITB scores before applying is a MUST

Certificate of UPDA ITB or TPA Bappenas from UUO PT Bappenas with a minimum score of 525. 

Applicants who already have a valid Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) and meet the requirements with a minimum score of 525, can contact UUO Bappenas to send a softcopy of the TPA result along with Cover Letter/Surat Pengantar, download the template here.  Send these documents to postgraduate@office.itb.ac.id 


Put e-mail address of  2 (two) or more of colleagues/lecturers who have professionally cooperated with you and able to give clear recommendation.

Transfer the registration fee and generate the Virtual Account number after you finish filling the data on the online registration.

Indonesian Nationals: IDR 750,000
Foreign Nationals: IDR 1,000,000

You must be able to show proof of ownership of health insurance which is valid for a minimum of 2 semesters (renewable). 

Applicants who use BPJS / KIS as health insurance, ITB only accepts BPJS / KIS documents funded by the agency / institution / company where the applicant / applicant parents works.

*can be submitted later if the applicant have passed the selection

*ITB organizes the Basic Academic Potential Test/Ujian Potensi Dasar Akademik (UPDA) ITB which can be used to replace the TPA requirements for the ITB Postgraduate Program. Register for the UPDA ITB here.
