SBM ITB through The Greater Hub held the second Bandung Startup Pitching Day (BSPD) in 2022. This activity is a collaboration between The Greater Hub, Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (LPIK) ITB, ITB Career Center, Geek Hunter, Startup Bandung , BLOCK71 Bandung, and Xendit.

The second BSPD in 2022 will be held on Tuesday (13/12/2022) at the Nemangkawi Auditorium, Labtek XIX Freeport SBM ITB Building. A total of 21 selected startups attended the meeting with representatives of potential investors.

Bandung Startup Pitching Day is an activity presented to facilitate startup founders in the city of Bandung to present their business in front of experienced investors. For those who have succeeded in becoming the winner of the nomination, it will be possible to get credit from AWS and Xendit with a total value of 68,000 USD and 3 months of facilities using the working space provided by BLOCK71.

Apart from presenting their business, startup founders also gain knowledge in business improvement and opportunities to attract investment from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Ventures Mentor Michael Fox. According to Fox, we must understand developments to produce innovative business ideas.

“Investors are naturally very interested in continuous innovation. As an entrepreneur, you have to be sensitive to that.”

“Startup must also pay attention to communication to potential investors. Should have to show our own professionalism and confidence in our business.”

At the end of the activity, the panelists announced the winners which the participants had also been waiting for. For the Most Marketable category, Digital Skola won with its innovation in digitizing informal education.

The Most Impactful category was won by Idemes. As for the Best Pitch Startup category, Nasho won it, which produces anti-fog eyeglass cleaner. Finally, for the category of The Most Innovative won by Greenlabs which innovates in the realm of bioresources for a sustainable environment.

Director of The Greater Hub SBM ITB, Dina Dellyana hopes that more and more startup founders will be inspired to continue growing. Dina hopes that the startups participating in the event this time can take advantage of connections with existing investors to continue to develop their businesses which are indeed very good.

One of the representatives who won the nomination, CEO Digital Skola, Aditia Soleh, enthusiastically welcomed this activity. According to him, this activity is very good and can continue to provide space for young entrepreneurs who have innovative new ideas to develop. According to him, Digital Skola is now planning to increase their business by collaboration with their successful alumni.
