Understanding customer needs and preferences is paramount to success in today’s business landscape. This encompasses delivering personalized products or services, fostering open communication, ensuring fast and reliable delivery, and providing high-quality products at competitive prices. These challenges were highlighted by Berty Argiyantari, CEO of Mostrans (Kalbe Group), during a guest lecture at the School of Business Management, Bandung Institute of Technology (SBM ITB), on November 18th.

Berty emphasized that Mostrans places digital transformation at the forefront of navigating the evolving landscape, addressing changes in customer demand, competition, data, and innovation. Operating within the intricate logistics challenges of Indonesia’s health industry,

Mostrans serves as a business-to-business digital logistics solution, aiming to build a digitally enabled ecosystem for enhanced supply chain resilience since its establishment in 2022.

While focusing on delivery and storage logistics, Mostrans, in collaboration with the Kalbe Group, aspires to become an integrator capable of working with other distributors. In the contemporary logistics environment, visibility, information sharing, and data are pivotal in optimizing the supply chain.

Mostrans offers a unified dashboard for transparent information dissemination to senders. Leveraging data analytics facilitates data-driven decision-making, identifies patterns from historical data, predicts future trends, shares insights for strategic enhancements, and provides solutions for continuous improvement.

Berty underscored that businesses should ideally balance clear understanding and automation in their processes in the digital era. Navigating digital transformation as a continuous journey requires constant innovation and adopting new business models. Challenges include the need for a clear strategy, shifting mindsets, constraints on time and resources, and cybersecurity concerns, necessitating organizations to develop comprehensive strategies and plans for successful digital transformation implementation.
