Under the leadership of Hatta Kresna, CEO and Founder, who is also an alumnus of the Entrepreneurship program at MBA ITB, Rahsa Nusantara stands as a beacon of innovation in leveraging Indonesia’s rich natural resources. Despite the country being home to approximately 90,000 plant species, a mere fraction, about 9,600, have been formally identified. On this basis, Rahsa Nusantara introduces its health supplement products, embodying the principles of biodiversity, local wisdom, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

Hatta Kresna had the opportunity to discuss the journey of developing Rahsa Nusantara during a guest lecture on Design Thinking for Building Business at SBM ITB on Sunday, December 18. The company’s line-up features an array of products aimed at health and fitness, including energy drinks and plant-based collagen supplements, alongside over 60 varieties of nutritious food products tailored for the whole family, children, and women’s health specifically.

Rahsa Nusantara’s dedication to sustainability is evident in their business practices, which prioritize natural and ethical product sourcing, the empowerment of women, and the reduction of plastic used in packaging. Their efforts towards supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been recognized through prestigious accolades such as the Agrifood SDGs Accelerator Grant from the FAO, the SDGs Award from Bappenas, and various other certifications.

Despite facing hurdles like higher product prices, limited offline accessibility, and a shortage of recreational offerings, Rahsa Nusantara is committed to overcoming these challenges. They employ innovative approaches, including the Iceberg Model and Theory U, for product design and leverage influencer partnerships to broaden their market reach.

With a philosophy of starting small yet with a deep-seated commitment, Rahsa Nusantara is resolute in its mission to drive positive societal and environmental change, ensuring its products meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
