September 1, 2025

The SBM ITB celebrated the graduation of 616 students for the August 2025 term during a ceremony held at the InterContinental Bandung on August 30th. Themed “Unlocking Tomorrow,” the event aimed to inspire graduates to realize their potential and prepare for future challenges.

In his remarks, the Dean of SBM ITB, Prof. Dr. Aurik Gustomo, S.T., M.T., reminded the graduates that this event was not just a moment to celebrate graduation, but also the beginning of a long journey toward success.

“This is not the end of your learning journey. We are committed to helping you become leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset. This foundation will transform you into individuals with a mindset that continually evolves,” said Professor Aurik. “As we pursue higher education, we come to understand how much we still have to learn. Therefore, it is essential to remain humble.”

Doctoral graduate Irwan Dewanto, representing the graduating class, delivered an inspiring speech. He reminded the graduates that their journey on campus was over, but their new life journey was beginning.

“Challenges do not just disappear. It is through these challenges that we grow and learn patience. Every obstacle shapes us into better people. This is not the finish line; rather, it is an opportunity to make an impact and contribute to society,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nadyalmar Syafa Putri Talissa, an International Business student who completed a double degree program at Rennes Business School, France, expressed her deep impressions of her experience at SBM ITB.

“I can’t believe I’ve been studying here and suddenly graduated. It’s really exciting, as I’ve not only made many friends but also had the opportunity to interact directly with the lecturers at SBM ITB. I’ve learned so many new things while studying here,” Nadya said.

The event continued with the handover of the baton to the new alums, which Pundi Ramandha Khuldi received. In his farewell speech, Pundi delivered an important message about the future.

“Unlocking Tomorrow reminds us that the future is something we create. The future belongs to those who dare to dream,” Pundi stated. “This graduation is not the end of our learning journey, but the beginning of a greater journey to bring positive change not only for ourselves, but also for others.”

The celebration also honored the graduates for their achievements. In addition, the audience enjoyed performances from several arts groups, enhancing the lively atmosphere.

With the renewed enthusiasm brought by these graduates, SBM ITB reaffirmed its role in developing future leaders who are not only innovative but also ethical and have a positive impact on society. This graduation marks the first step for them to make a greater contribution to the nation and the world.
